ORDERING INFORMATION AND CARRIAGE CHARGES
Credit cards are very welcome
To save on carriage and packing costs, get together with family and neighbours to have all plants delivered together. Please remember: ‘no order is too small’ and will receive every attention.
All orders must be accompanied by cheque, postal order or credit card number etc. It is essential to have your credit card expiry date. If paying by switch, please confirm start and expiry dates and, if applicable, the issue number. Please ensure that we have the correct address for the relevant credit card and the address of the new house where you are moving to and where you wish the trees etc. to be delivered. The administration of credit card transactions is time consuming and is a slower process than postal orders or cheques, so obviously any incorrect card numbers or wrongly addressed cards mean even more delays for your plants.
IT IS USEFUL TO HAVE A DAY-TIME OR EVENING TELEPHONE NUMBER.
N.B. When delivering, our carriers would like to know, if no one at home, can your order be safely left somewhere? e.g. garage, porch, back of property, neighbour, etc. This would be of great help; please confirm in the appropriate place on the order form at the back of this catalogue.Unfortunately we cannot accept responsibility for our goods delivered and stolen from your premises. An extra charge will be made by the carrier if more than two attempts are made to deliver.
IMPORTANT: Upon receipt of your payment, we will send you a receipt slip confirming your order number. Please ensure you quote this number on all communications. Thank you.
Please ensure you give your full telephone number and your full name and address. It is not always possible to respond to calls in a precise time, therefore it is often necessary to write to you with the answer you require. No need to confirm credit card orders.
All cards, visas, etc, postal orders and cheques (made payable to “Deacon’s Nursery”) please send to: Deacon’s Nursery, Moor View, Godshill, Isle of Wight, PO38 3HW • Tel: (01983) 840750 or (01983) 522243 [office hours] • Fax: (01983) 523575 (a 24-hour telephone answering service is available on all lines) • E-mail: info@deaconsnurseryfruits.co.uk

Second and third orders may be added together to arrive at the correct carriage/packing charges up to 1st November; thereafter we would ask you to pay the respective carriage/packing for extra orders. If it is practicable for us to send all orders together, we will and also include extra plants to compensate.
EXPORT CHARGES: Last season we despatched many orders to the EEC. Costs vary from country to country, but generally a 15kg parcel costs about £40.00. It is preferable to use your credit card in order to charge fairly, as we cannot know the cost until the parcel is complete and weighed.
The new legislation in respect of the EEC single market means that health certificates are no longer required for deliveries of plants to retail customers and hence no charge is made.
